Common questions and problems

← All guides

The questions support hears the most, with the short answer and the way to solve it yourself. Look for the situation — it is written the way you would live it, not the way the system names it.

General rule for match day: a result problem is solved on the range, right away — call the RO or the Range Master before leaving the Stage. Once the Match is over, the path becomes a formal appeal, within the deadline.

I am an athlete

I cannot sign in to my account

Your account is identified by your e-mail. If you once signed in with “continue with Google/Microsoft”, always use the same button — creating a separate password later is not the same path.

  • Forgot your password: use “forgot my password” on the sign-in screen of your access provider.
  • An error saying the e-mail already exists: the account was already created — sign in instead of signing up.
  • Changed your e-mail: ask the club to update your record before the Match.
The registration link says it is closed

Three things have to be true at the same time for the registration link to work: the club opened public registration, the Match status is Open and we are still within the deadline. If one is missing, the page says registration is not possible.

It does not mean the Match is full. Talk to the organization: even with the link closed, the club can register you from inside the system.

I forgot my 4-digit PIN

The PIN is your signature: it is what confirms the result is yours. That is why nobody can look it up for you — not even the club.

  • Registration still open: sign in to your account, go to My Matches and set a new PIN.
  • Registration already closed: it is solved on the range. In a Match with equipment check, at the check; in a Match without check, at the first Score — the RO opens the screen for you to create the PIN.
  • Had a PIN and forgot it: ask the organization to reset it. Either you type a new PIN on the spot, on the front-desk device, or the old one is erased and you create the new one on your next Score, with the RO — this works even if your equipment check is already done.
I typed the wrong PIN several times and now it is not accepted

It is protection against guessing, just like a bank card: after a few wrong tries the system pauses that athlete's PIN for a few minutes. Wait and try again — nothing was lost, and the RO can move on with the next athletes in the queue meanwhile.

I want to change Squad or time slot

The change is made by the organization, not by the athlete — it is the one that sees how full each Squad is and the whole time grid. Ask the club; the change shows up in your portal and in the Match Hub right after, and stays recorded in the Match history.

I want to compete in more than one division in the same Match
  • While public registration is open, use “New registration” inside the Match you are already in.
  • You cannot repeat the same division — pick another one available.
  • The PIN is the same for all your registrations in that Match.
  • If the Match requires an equipment check, each declared firearm goes through its own check.
My Score is wrong

Before signing with the PIN, check the summary on the RO's screen: time, targets, misses, no-shoots and procedurals. That is the cheapest moment to fix it.

Already signed? The result is protected on purpose, and it only changes with authorization from an official (Range Master, Stats or the area chief) — through a correction, when it was a typo, or through a reshoot, when the run has to be repeated. Either way the previous value stays in the history: nothing is erased.

Off the range, the path is to open an appeal from your portal, while the Match deadline allows it.

I do not show up in the public results
  • Results are only visible once the club turns publishing on — before that the page does not even exist for the public.
  • A Stage with no result entered shows as a dash (—) and scores no points.
  • Anyone with a DQ is shown marked, with no place in the standings.
  • Registering in two divisions produces two lines, one in each standings.
I got a DQ and I disagree

A DQ is requested with the official rule reason and confirmed by the Range Master. If you disagree, open an appeal in your portal while the deadline is open: the Range Master or Stats reviews it and answers in writing, and the answer stays recorded in your portal. If the appeal is upheld, the DQ is reversed and your previous results come back exactly as they were.

I did not get the registration confirmation e-mail
  • Look in the spam / promotions folder.
  • Check that the e-mail in your profile is correct.
  • Sending depends on the e-mail configured by the club — some clubs do not use e-mail confirmation.
  • The registration receipt is always available in your portal, even without the e-mail.

I am on the range (RO and officials)

I cannot sign in as an RO

Field access asks for three things, all provided by the organization: username, club code and password. It is not your athlete account.

After signing in you choose which Match you will work at. If the list is empty, you have not been assigned to that Match yet — the organization fixes it in seconds.

My Stage is not in the list

Each RO only sees the Stages they were assigned to. Ask the organization to link you to that Stage; the panel updates without signing out and in again.

The screen will not let me enter the result and asks for the equipment check

The Match is set to require the check before the first shot. Finish the athlete's check (the screen itself offers the shortcut) and entry is released. Whether the Match uses a check — and whether it happens at the first Stage or before the Match — is decided by the organization.

The athlete has no PIN
  • Match with equipment check and the check still pending: the PIN is born at the check — send the athlete there before entering the Score.
  • Match without check: the athlete creates the PIN at the first Score, on your device.
  • Check already done and still no PIN? That is a PIN reset by management — the Score entry screen offers to create the PIN right there, with no need to go back to the check.
  • Without a valid PIN the result is not saved — that is what guarantees the Score belongs to the athlete.
I need to change a Score that was already entered

A signed result locks on purpose. Ask an official (Range Master, Stats or your area chief) for one of the two authorizations:

  • Correct — for a typo: releases one edit of the same result.
  • Reshoot — when the run has to be done again: the old result leaves the standings, stays in the history, and you enter a new one.

After saving, the result locks again and gains a new version in the history.

Two ROs tried to enter the same athlete

The system holds the edit for one person at a time and rejects a second entry for the same athlete on the same Stage. If the warning appears, check with your colleague who has the athlete — the result already entered is safe, there is no risk of a silent overwrite.

The athlete is not in the Squad list
  • They may be registered in another Squad or another division — check the Match list.
  • An athlete with a pending or confirmed DQ leaves the shooting lists.
  • An athlete marked DNF also leaves the queue.
  • Marking “no-show” does not remove anyone from the Match: it only records that they have not arrived yet.
The internet on the range is bad

Install the field screen as an app on the tablet: navigation is cached and the screen does not go dark while you enter a result. Even so, saving the result needs a connection — while you fill it in, the system keeps a draft, so a brief drop does not make you type everything again.

If the connection drops midway, send it again when it comes back: the draft is still there.

I organize the Match (club)

I published the Match but nobody can register

Check the three switches, in order — it is almost always the second one:

  1. The Match status is Open.
  2. The “Allow public registration” option is on.
  3. The registration deadline has not passed yet (in the club's time zone).

A Match is born with the registration link closed, on purpose: you are the one who opens it, when you are ready.

The results do not show up for the public

Publishing the Hub (schedule and shortcuts) and publishing the results are separate switches — turning one on does not turn the other on. Enable what you want to expose in the Match edit screen or in the publishing card, and share the matching link.

The Match progress percentage looks odd

Progress counts approved results, not closed Stages: it starts moving at the first Score entered, instead of jumping only when a whole Stage finishes. That is why the number rises slowly and continuously through the day.

I imported the registration spreadsheet and something went wrong
  • The import always shows a preview before applying — check there how many will be created and how many updated.
  • Athletes are matched by the identification data in the file; if those come in blank, the system has no way to know it is the same person and creates a new one.
  • Division, category and Squad have to exist in the Match before the import.
The club's e-mails are not going out

Messages sit in a queue and go out in the background; a short delay is normal. If nothing goes out, review the e-mail sending details registered for the club — server, user and password. Staff invitations may use the system's own e-mail, which is why they sometimes work when the club's do not.

I need to adjust results after the Match ended

You can fix it later: correction authorizations stay available to the officials and to management, always with a recorded reason. Each adjustment creates a new version and preserves the previous one — the public standings follow the new value as soon as it is signed.

The championship ranking did not update

The season ranking adds up the rounds that have published results. Publish the results of each linked Match and confirm the championship is marked as published — the ranking recalculates right after.

I want to take the Match data to another system

There are four ready outputs: publish to the scoring.services portal on finalize (IPSC, source Orbit), a package in WinMSS format, team export for PractiScore, and listing spreadsheets. To integrate your own system, there is also a programming interface with a per-club key.

I finalized the Match and now I cannot edit anything

That is the expected behaviour: a finalized Match is frozen for consultation. Ranking, entered Scores, the Squad board and the audit log still open, and the publication gates (Hub, Verify and public results) remain adjustable — what goes off the air is setup, registrations, result editing, Schedule, broadcast and Check & Chrono. The field RO cannot get in either.

If you checked send to scoring.services, the match is already on the portal; you can update or remove it from the overview, without reopening.

To go back to entering Scores, use Reopen match at the top of the overview and give the reason. The reopening is recorded in the audit log with author and time — it is already published results becoming editable again.

An athlete forgot the PIN in the middle of the Match

In the registration list, use Reset PIN (manager, RM or Stats). There are two ways out: the athlete sets it now, typing the new PIN on the front-desk device, or set it on the next Score, which erases the current PIN so the athlete creates a new one with the RO — including in a Match whose equipment check is already done.

Nobody can read an athlete's PIN, not even the club: the system stores only the verification. Every reset is kept in the Match audit log.

Broadcast and big screen

An overlay that does not appear, a frozen scoreboard, a cropped big screen: the broadcast page has its own common-problems section, with the checks in the right order.

Still need help?

Talk to whoever organizes the Match first: the club controls registration, Squads, publishing and deadlines. When you need to reach support, have this at hand — the answer comes much faster:

  • Club name and Match name.
  • Name of the athlete involved and the division.
  • Which Stage and roughly what time it happened.
  • What you expected to happen and what appeared on the screen.
  • A photo or screenshot, if there was an error message.
