Benefits

Why use Orbit for clay shooting

The paper sheet leaves the field, and the result comes out of match day already checked by the athlete.

How it works

From registration to a published ranking

Four steps, each with a screen built for whoever performs it.

  1. Build the match Pick the modality and the wizard creates the first round with the default stations. After that it is a matter of adjusting squads and judges.
  2. Open registration One public link: the athlete picks class, category and squad, and the match office watches the spots fill in real time.
  3. Mark in the field The judge signs in with the club code, marks clay by clay and closes the round with their signature and the athlete’s PIN.
  4. Publish the result The ranking comes out by class and by category, and the club decides when it goes public.

Features

Built for clay, not adapted from another sport

The score sheet is the grid of clays per station. No time, no power factor and no hit factor where they do not exist.

Matches

Looking for a match to shoot?

The public list shows what is open for registration right now and the results clubs have already published. Neither of them needs an account.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before starting

Which modalities does the module cover?

COMPAK, Skeet, Trap and Sporting have a ready preset of stations and clays. Since each round is configurable station by station, other layouts of the same kind also fit — the difference is you build the configuration instead of picking a preset.

What if the grounds have no internet?

Marking keeps working on the judge’s device and uploads when the network returns. In clay shooting that is the normal case, not the exception.

Do I need one device per judge?

One per squad in the field is enough. The judge signs in with the club code and their username, in the browser on their own phone — there is no app to install.

Does the athlete need an account to register?

No. Public registration works through the link, and anyone already in the club gets their details pre-filled. The account is only needed to follow the history in the portal.

My club already uses Orbit for IPSC. Does anything change?

Nothing that exists is touched. Clay shooting comes in as one more sport under the same login, and each person in the club sees only the sports you release to them.

Can it integrate with the system we already use?

Yes, through the public API: matches, registrations, squads and results, with a field to store your own system id on each record.
