Help — precision shooting

Field judge guide

← All guides

You are going to use your phone on the firing line. This page takes five minutes to read, and it is everything you need to know.

Open the address below in your phone browser:

/precisao/ro/login

You need three things, all of them given to you by the club: the club code, your username and the field password. If you get one wrong, the message is always the same — the system is not hiding information from you, it is so that nobody finds valid users by trying blindly.

Keyboard tip: if the phone is capitalising the first letter of the code or of the username, delete it and type everything in lower case. It is the most common cause of a "wrong password" that was not a wrong password.

Choosing where to score

Once you are in, you see the Matches you are assigned to. Pick the Match, then the relay and the series. The next screen brings up the athletes in that relay.

Scoring the series

One athlete per screen. For each target in the course of fire there is a row of rings — X, 10, 9, and so on down to 0.

  • One tap on the ring adds a shot there.
  • Holding for half a second on the ring removes a shot — that is how you correct without clearing everything.
  • The target total and the series total show while you score. There is nothing to add up.
  • The system does not let you go past the number of shots for the target. If it has stopped responding, that target is already complete.

At the bottom of the athlete card are the penalty, the note and "did not show".

No signal

Carry on scoring as usual. The marks are kept on your device and upload on their own when the network comes back — the bottom bar shows what is still pending.

Do not close the tab while anything is pending. What has not uploaded yet is only on this device. Wait for the bar to show that everything has been sent before turning the phone off or handing it to someone else.

Signing the series

Once the scoring is done, go to Review and sign. The screen shows each athlete's scorecard to be checked.

  1. The athlete checks their own scorecard — target by target, and the total.
  2. If the Match requires a PIN, the athlete types their 4 digits on your device. The first time, they are the one who chooses the PIN.
  3. You sign the series. Only then are the scores approved and counted on the scoreboard.

Not every Match asks for a PIN. When the club does not require it, your signature is enough and the series closes right away — it is a Match setting, not a step you skipped.

Signing is final for you. Once signed, the series can only be reopened by the club staff, with the reason recorded. Check it before you tap sign.

The athlete's PIN

  • The PIN belongs to the athlete, not to you. They type it; you do not write it down or keep it.
  • Forgot the PIN? The staff erases their PIN on the registrations screen and the athlete creates another one the next time they sign. Nobody — not the club, not support — can see the existing PIN.
  • Got it wrong several times in a row? The attempt is blocked for a few minutes. It is protection against guessing; wait and try again.
  • Athlete left without signing? The staff can approve without the PIN, giving the reason — which stays in the score history.

If something goes wrong

  • "Someone is already editing this athlete" — another judge opened the same athlete in the same series. Agree on who scores; the lock releases on its own shortly.
  • The screen does not open the Match — either you are not assigned to it, or the Match is in draft or closed. Talk to the club.
  • I scored the wrong athlete — if you have not signed yet, fix it by holding the rings to take the shots out. If you have already signed, ask the staff to reopen it.

This guide covers precision shooting Matches (rimfire and bullseye), along the lines of the SCTSL and CBTT rulebooks.
