What you need to know to register, sign your series and check the result.

Registration

The club sends you a link. You fill in your details, pick the modality and the relay, and that is it.

One registration for each modality. If you are going to shoot rifle and PCP in the same Match, register twice — once in each. That is how the system can rank you in both, each with its own course of fire and its own ranking.
  • Relays have a limited number of slots. If one shows as full, pick another or talk to the club.
  • If you are already on the club register, the form comes filled in from your e-mail.
  • Need to cancel? Talk to the match office. Cancelling frees your slot in the relay for someone else.

The PIN

In some Matches the club requires you to confirm your series with a 4-digit PIN. It is your signature: it is what says you have checked and agree with what was scored.

  • You choose the PIN the first time you sign. Nobody chooses it for you.
  • Keep it. Neither the club nor support can see your PIN — they can only erase it, so that you create another one.
  • You type the PIN on the judge's device, at the moment of the check. Do not say it out loud or hand it over for someone else to type.
  • Not every Match asks for a PIN. When the club does not require it, the judge's signature is enough — it is not a step that got skipped.

Checking your series

At the end of the series the judge shows you your scorecard: target by target, with the count for each ring and the total.

  1. Check it target by target, not just the total. Two mistakes that cancel each other out give the same total and change the tie-break.
  2. Check the X count: it breaks ties, and one X less can cost you a place.
  3. If there is a penalty, it shows separately from the shot total. Ask why if it is not clear.
  4. Only then type the PIN. Once signed, the series can only be reopened by the club, with the reason recorded.

Seeing the result

If the club publishes it, there is a public link with the ranking. It shows the standings by modality, with the points per series, the X count and the points on each target — which are exactly the criteria that decide the tie-break.

The ranking only counts signed series. If yours is not showing yet, the judge has probably not closed it.

Frequently asked questions

I forgot my PIN.

Ask the match office to erase your PIN. You create a new one the next time you sign. Nobody can recover the old one.

I tied with another athlete. Who comes first?

It depends on the rule the club picked before the Match — usually more X, then more 10s, and so on. The tie-break guide explains the three possible rules. If the tie is not settled by any of them, the two share the same place.

I left before signing. Have I lost my result?

No. The club can approve your series without the PIN, recording the reason. The result counts.

I found a mistake after signing.

Talk to the match office as soon as you can. The staff can reopen the series, with the reason recorded in the history.

This guide covers precision shooting Matches (rimfire and bullseye), along the lines of the SCTSL and CBTT rulebooks.
